Fishing in the Poconos - There are abundant places to fish,
from state park lakes, that are not overfished and have
boat rentals, to hundreds of fishing streams Two American
Presidents, that we know of, have spent their vacations
in the Poconos Mountains fly fishing in our streams. There
are fly fishing Schools, there are guided fishing tours
and many lakes with large and small mouth bass. Shad, trout,
rock bass, walleye, and stripers run in the Delaware River,
albeit a depleted group of shad. Trout are stocked in many,
many streams in the spring. Indeed.... many of us locals
consider the first day of fishing season a Holiday. In years
past, some of the staff of Camelback Ski Resort (and probably
other resorts as well) were given the day off to go fishing.

does not impose a sales tax on clothing, as do many other

Some enjoy Outlet Shopping some, flea markets, art galleries,
or antique shops. Still some prefer boutiques, craft and
specialty shops. Here in the Poconos, shoppers can indulge
in their passion.
