Poconos Top Rated Restaurants
or "Peoples Choice" awards, restaurants can not buy,
bully or click their way to a top rating on Poconos.ws. EVERY
one of our picks has been visited by our staff and rated on numerous
scales to make this list. The owners did not know we were there
and we paid for every rated meal. And, unlike the others, we are
not going to list every restaurant. Here are the Top Restaurants
In The Poconos (And Why):
4 Main Avenue, Rat 590, Downtown Hawley, PA 18428
A restored Arts & Craft Lodge with architectural touches like
Chestnut Wood Beams, hand screened Wallpapers and Mission
tables and chairs. The restaurant and its sister Lounge (tiny,
but really, really homey) are on the first floor upon entering
the inn. The Settler's inn's "hospitality extends from
the head to the heart to the hand" and they work to provide
local foods from local farms. There is a terrace for summer
dining and gardens along the banks of the adjacent Lackawaxen
River. Before dinner take a spin around town on one of the
bikes on the front porch or walk through Bingham Park and
Riverwalk Trail to a sister property called Ledges Hotel where
there is a wine bar overlooking a waterfalls and gorge.

Creams Cafe - 429 Main
St., Stroudsburg, PA 18360
ingredients make for fresh salads and a slightly unusual
menu. But in a good way. Healthy options, fresh homemade
ice cream and friendly "chirpy" staff. This is
not one of those special occasion places, but a place to
meet friends with consistently good food. "Never a
bad experience in over 20 years of eating here." One
of our Poconos.ws staff members said as we wrote this!

The Crescent Lodge and Country Inn

years of incredible service and fine food." And very
often a pick for one of the PoconosBest.com top restaurants
in the the Poconos. A special occasion restaurant for many
local Poconos residents. The food is delicious and much
more impressive than you would expecting for a small lodging
/ inn in the Poconos.
Stone Bar - Route 209, Stroudsburg, PA 18360
times voted "The Best Restaurant in the Poconos"
by PoconosBest.com. Chef Andrew Moore has been making occasions
special for over 20 years. The atmosphere is casual / pub,
but the food is 4 star. Sourcing local vegetables and other
foods from the finest purveyors, adding thoughtful preparation
and consistent service are the reasons for the awards.
- 231 Stroudsmoor Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
We know Stroudsmoor is a wedding venue. And a damn good
one at that. But, before it was a resort, before it was
a place to "tie the knot" it was the best buffet
in town. Practice makes it perfect. So... put Stroudsmoor
on your list for food. Good food. Plenty of good food. It
ain't cheap. But, experience it you must.
